Elastomer SBS/SIS

SBS is a thermoplastic elastomer made with two monomers, which are styrene and butadiene, and shows the properties of plastic and rubber at the same time. Due to these properties, it is widely used in a variety of areas including plastic modifying agent, asphalt modifying agent and adhesives. SIS is a class of styrene-isoprene-styrene triblock copolymers produced via proprietary sequential anionic polymerization. Most SIS products are of linear structure, with different amount of diblocks. It usually appears as porous particles with outstanding melt processability and thermal stability. SIS is mainly used in hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives, sealants and polymer modification.
